Over 200 runners and mountain bikers are expected to take part in the second annual Run Rider at Ashton Court, Bristol on Sunday 14th October.

The event is one of only a few off road duathlons in the South West, and involves competitors doing a 5 or 10km trail running, then jumping on their mountain bike to do multiple laps of an offroad course, followed by a final 5km run. With two distances on offer to suit all abilities and the option to compete solo or in pairs, the event is suitable for novices and experienced athletes alike.

Organiser, Nigel Muntz said "We had great feedback from the first Run Rider last year and as this event is very accessible to runners and cyclists alike it's is a great opportunity for them both to try something different in the traditional off season."

There is still time to enter in advance at www.runrider.co.uk or you can enter on the day between 8-9.30am and the race starts at 10am! Access to the race is via Longwood Lane and there is free car parking on site.
